Ah well, beginning to feel grateful for Telford’s bizarre ticketing system.

That's it. All over and out.

You can't tell me this football is better under Murray.

Lethargic and un-inspired. Far, far better watching a Phil Brown team play and we got results.

Only scored more than one goal once this season.

I get why the manager was calling it a good start to the season but has it been? Really? Have we looked convincing? He keeps saying there’s so much more to come. Hope he’s right. But how long to wait?

Don’t expect the chairman will be too happy exiting the FA Cup at this stage.

Fact is we lost some very strong players in the summer. The evidence so far is we haven’t replaced them with players of the same calibre. They might come good in the future but, for a side that the manager said has targets of promotion, can we afford to wait? I’ve already sensed a shift from “we want to win the league” to “aim for the top 7”. Yes I know today was the cup.

No issues for Fylde and Kings Lynn in the cup today. And plenty of goals.

Oh well. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Congratulations to Phil Brown as Peterborough Sports progress to the 3rd Qualifying Round.

I’d bloody love to know what really happened at the end of last season.

Yes indeed - especially as Hornchurch are undefeated and sit top of National League South!

Suppose we will have to 'focus on the league' as so many have said when we've had good Cup and Trophy runs.

I said at the outset it was a horrible draw. And so it has been proven.

We now have just 1 game in the next 20 days. I suggest Murray uses that time to do a bit of soul searching and work out how on earth he's going to turn this squad into a title challenging team. He must surely have some ideas as he made little effort to keep most of the key players from last season and told us all these new signings were more than capable of getting us promoted.

If we carry on like this it's going to be a bleak winter.

I know some are going to say we’ve only lost once in the league but frankly, apart from the game we lost, we’ve largely faced pretty mediocre opposition. It’s not just the results though, it’s the uninspired, overly cautious style of play which puts me in mind of the lowest period of Penn’s tenure.

I do want to be optimistic but the only player who has stood out for me so far (I’ve only been to home games) is Foulkes and I can’t see where the kind of form we need to challenge for promotion is going to come from. The ‘horses for courses’ constant chopping and changing approach has predictably failed and, by his own admission, Murray has no idea what is his strongest starting XI.

How many of the current squad would have got into last year’s? The answer, of course, are those who were here last season. I think we’re long enough into the season to conclude that none of Murray’s signings are an upgrade.

Someone convince me I should be more optimistic.

We completely lack quality, flair and initiative with little fire power up front.

I would be amazed if this squad gets anywhere near promotion this season.

You’re not trying to convince me are you?
