Interesting interview Murray saying he was shown a clip of someone giving observation then said they’ve only been to one game… is he taking aim one of the podcasts perhaps?
Comes with the territory, observations. Brown got a bit but never jabbed at it during interviews.

if you couple goals with clean sheets you've a recipe for success

Pretty sure PB referenced online comments in several interviews, with some suggesting it may have been this very parish he was referring to.tonythescout wrote: ↑Thu Aug 28, 2025 8:48 pm Interesting interview Murray saying he was shown a clip of someone giving observation then said they’ve only been to one game… is he taking aim one of the podcasts perhaps?

I don’t think AM was jabbing back either particularly , he clearly employs a lot of data and stats in his approach, which will likely often paint a different picture of a performance to the perspective of some fans. (For the record, I don’t give a hoot about stats, I just want to watch exciting, attacking football and jump around like a loon when we win games. XG is not something I can get excited about).

Sometimes an “outsider” looking in spots something that familiarity has caused us to miss.
All I can see as a regular is a lack of threat in front of goal without Hemmings , Maz and to some extent Worrall.
Maybe it will pick up with Mooney back?

Bottom line after reading all the comments is certain people on here obviously more qualified than Adam Murray will just keep picking up on the slightest thing he says and put a negative spin on it!!! He might work out as a manager he might not. Give the bloke a break. Also the constant reference to hemmo worrall etc. They have gone end of. Every player that moved on wanted to go . Its football. We have a team now which isn't the best I've ever seen but certainly isn't the worst. Lots of work to do but let's see where we go. I'm hoping some of you are at least happy no reference to God in his interview. God forbid a man with beliefs as a football manager!!!
Most people are venting their frustration perfectly reasonably I think .
Personally I like the manager he’s ambitious and intelligent and we are lucky to have him but as a fan I want success and I can’t see our front three being any better than average .
Murray is no doubt well aware of this and obviously cannot say so but we keep signing players who aren’t forwards don’t we .
I think the forum is the place to offer our opinions isn’t it
however if we sometimes disagree then
I for one enjoy reading other’s thoughts and learn from them.

Dibble
Foulkes Tunnicliffe Penny Bird Innocent
Reynolds Kandola Devine
Willoughby AMS
starting Xl I'd like to see. Probably not a viable formation or something. I'd still like to see it tried.
These are the players who (IMO) offer the most and are the least likely to mess things up. Discuss.

Have to say I was disappointed with Bird in the Oxford game. He was touted as having ‘a wand of a left foot’ but his distribution was woeful and he looked hugely off the pace. Agree that Willoughby needs someone to play off but not sure Morgs can do it. On t’other hand we don’t have anyone else do we?

One of the more local games for me this season! Looking forward to a good performance. Will there be a new centre half partnership and a new centre mid partnership again?? I’d expect so.

There's really no point saying 'end of' or trying to shut people down on a discussion forum. It's a forum. For discussion.
