Harriers season ticket prices out

For those with pre-allocated seats and renewals, your season ticket should be in the "reserved items" folder in "my account" on the harrier web online.
I struggled and had to ask......

My reserved items folder is empty. I presume they haven't read my email yet then?

FWIW, whilst it is welcome the price per game remained the same I agree it is too expensive anyway, especially the U16s.

As I am now based in Swindon I am involved with Swindon Supermarine (one division below Harriers) Adult prices are £10 on the day (season ticket £180) and concessions £6 on the day.

The standard price at our level is £14 / £15, but for the last 4 years we have used one of our sponsors to cover the reduced prices.

Gates have steadily been increasing as it is seen as ‘affordable’ or perhaps more accurately what it is actually worth, so people return. (Plus there is the bar, food and raffle takings that all benefit from bigger gates).

Obviously the sponsorship money could have been used in the player budget but the logic is club will never (sustainably) progress unless gates grow.

Really interesting about Swindon Supermarine using sponsorship money as an investment in fans of the future rather than immediate on pitch success. Incredibly forward thinking for football. It will never catch on :-)

I have said elsewhere that it is a shame that given the overall cost increase (even though the price per game remains the same) that the club have not expressly advertised an instalment payment scheme.

People are struggling with their bills, and that isn’t going to get any easier, and if the club want to prove they are part of and support their community, an acknowledgment of that would be appreciated.

And Justin if you know anyone who might have some power to help on the cost of living front, we’d all appreciate it if you could have a word…

It is interesting to see that Hereford have already sold over 800 at prices broadly similar to ours and with no offer of installments. They get attendances that are pretty similar to us yet their early bird sales are already double the total number of STH we had last season.

I guess it might just be habit as I suspect they had a lot of STH when they reformed and many have just continued to purchase but nevertheless it is quite a difference compared with what we manage to sell.

If anything it suggests we have far more casual fans who attend on a relatively irregular basis. In which case we really should be doing more to get them on board as STH.

Went to the club this morning only be told they never received my email reserving our seats (see below) and they've now been sold to someone else even though we have this (below in quotes). Mine weren't in my 'folder'.

Season Ticket holders who had an allocated seat during 2019/20 will find this seat as available to purchase in their account.

I also thought we had until July 1st to reserve our seats.

We have now had to buy different seats across the aisle in J block row L. Better than having to sit far away from before but not happy bunnies at all.

I couldn't remember exactly where I sit, so I took a bit of a punt in the vague area where I usually go. Hopefully that doesn't annoy anyone (and I'm not near anyone too annoying!).

I've just spotted the small print on the bottom of the graphic.

Buying on the day has now gone up from £2 to £3. Sneaky!

The psychology of it makes good sense in terms of attendances.

Get people to commit to the game prior so they don't decide to do something else on the day/on a whim.

Its a risk though as it might annoy a fair few who want the freedom to decide on the day and could have a negative impact or negate the gains.

Ultimately, if the team are doing well and challenging at the top, it wont matter too much.

Presumably you can still buy online on your phone etc on the day of the game?

or the local Wolves Villa and Albion fans (who look at the weather or work on a Saturday morning, or have their bored kids on a weekend , etc etc) and make a snap decision 1pm or so "nah I'll take a game in at Aggborough instead".

There are more than you think ( I know of three for a start).
A totally unnecessary decision by the club that further complicates a system that worked perfectly for years........
