All that matters is that we're through, but despite the disparity in the divisions we really didn't show it too much until the final 20 minutes. If you asked an impartial observer to say who was in the higher division, they would have had a difficult time for a large part of the game. We created little, and so did they. Luckily we got a goal and the game opened up late on, and we could have snuck a second - but can't say it was a romp of a performance.

We had the better of play and possession, but a lack of incision. Chances were few and far between. Austin's shot tipped over the bar was the only one of note in the first half, AMS blazed over when he could have taken an extra touch but would have required a really smart finish to score. Hemmings was the main outlet but him cutting inside meant the game became very narrow and compact. Penny doesn't seem a natural full back to bomb up the wing and get a cross in, and in that system it's something you need. Austin, who spent most of the game on the left, did well but we miss him in the centre, using his dribbling and trickery to unnerve defenders. Kez Martin and Carrington both tidy, but nobody really playing balls in between the lines to give Freemantle (anonymous, sadly) and AMS much to do.

Good to see us with two up front though, feel a pacier striker is needed alongside either Freemantle or AMS, two together are a bit too similar for my liking.

On that subject, still not sold by AMS, Bell showed some nice touches when he came on and with another five minutes may have notched one himself. Worth a mention for their keeper, who made a great save before AMS put in the rebound. Apart from that they didn't test us. Cameron and Baj dealt with some high balls, but really kept them quiet otherwise.

Enjoyable visit. A nice set up down there. Good pitch, nice compact stadium and some good plane watching available every couple of minutes as they descend into Heathrow. Would be good for a night game watching them come in. Good to see some familiar faces there who I've not seen since before Covid - and good to bump into a Harriers fan or two on the tube.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)

We were moderate at best. Bedfont were extremely poor. They could have played until Christmas and probably not scored albeit I'd still have a tenner on it being 1-0.

Game won, qualified for first round but couldn't be more underwhelmed. As mentioned above their keeper played well but more in a tidy, no mistakes manner than world class saves sort of performance.

Let's hope for a draw tomorrow that generates as much interest as possible.

Can`t argue with the downbeat reports of those who were there, but from the highlights, it looked like we completely dominated the game & were worthy winners.

I'm sure that I saw more than the two voters so far for the MotM poll at Bedfont.

Please don't be shy.

A banana skin was avoided. The game didn't seem to be played with a huge amount of intensity. Their keeper played well which does emphasise that we were on top.

I think ones of the reasons it was so tight was how deep Bedfont understandably set up. A 5-2-3 system that when we got possession basically turned into a 7-2-1. And it did nearly work to be fair to them as they looked quick on the counter. Their keeper was very good as well, got a good reception at the end from Harriers fans.

MOTM was in my opinion the Bedfont keeper.

Mine was as well. Went for Carrington in the end for here - but felt a bit of a "Lee Vaughan MOTM 2010-2014" default pick.

If it was the sponsors MoTM, Lee Vaughan would probably have been the player running up and down in front of the sponsors hospitality box in the second half.
