Looking forward to it, though a little trepidatious. Heard some say they saw it as the preferred possibly, having done the league double and Boston being a little more adventurous than some of the other options. But I'm not as sold.

Undoubtedly more quality than the likes of Kettering and Alfreton, plus a fully-fledged Paul Cox side now and play a different system. Wary of team's with wing-backs in addition to Paul Green being back, who I believe's a big player for them. Certainly a lot of experience and pedigree.

As far as the team, I agree with some that Sterling and AMS for Martin and Ethan from Saturday is probably the best eleven, currently. But I actually wouldn't mind seeing Montrose. Seemed a good selection for the home game in the league, with Boston being a big, physical team who played direct. You could have him as the anchorman in midfield in the new system, where his mobility hopefully wouldn't be a problem, and that way you'd have some decent fresh legs for Fylde if they get through, with who you choose to leave out.

Celebratory drink afterward might be a bit problematic as several hostelries in the vicinity either shut early on a Thursday, or didnt realise they may have 2500 plus ecstatic Harriers fans looking to spend cash on a beer come 9-45pm.

Looking forward to this one as always. Though a voice in my head still reminds me of the last couple of playoffs and the associated disappointment, I feel this team is different and will rise to the occasion like we've seen them do on several occasions this season, especially with a big crowd. Great to see how many tickets are selling, I'd guess at ~3,300 in Aggborough.
We took 6 points from them in the league, and when we beat them 2-1 away, Kiddy and Boston were both in very similar positions in the league (Harriers 4th, Boston 6th). Although we lost the FA Trophy game, I don't think it meant much to the players, and it was on their 3g pitch. Players possibly didn't want to miss out on the FA Cup games through injury? Having said that, the Boston United we played back in February was a slightly different side to that we face tomorrow. Assuming they put out the same side they did last Saturday, there would be 4 changes to the side we last played with. No way will Boston be a walk over.
Lets hope we pull through. Fylde away is a real possibility for a win on a good surface. Brackley could possibly slip up to York/Chorley... who knows!

Starting to get excited about this. Point taken about Boston's credentials but personally I'm just so relieved to have avoided Alfreton (who were second behind Gateshead in the form table over the last six games and top over the last ten!)

What's interesting to me is, following a season when I think most fans would have picked pretty much the same 11 for any one game (accounting for injuries but ignoring thoughts about resting players for upcoming matches), now we've got to the end of season deciders there are suddenly a number of calls to be made / options on the table:
Foulkes or Penny at RB
Penny or Baj at CB
Baj / Martin / Montrose in CM
OSJ or Hemmings or both.

Barring injury, I would suggest the only players certain to start are Simpson, Richards, Austin and AMS, with Cameron and Carrington not far behind.

I'm not sure if the uncertainty is a good or bad thing and I can't decide who I would pick - plenty for Russ and Jimmy to ponder over... (although presumably they've decided by now!)

I really hope we can take our experience of big matches from the cup run into this. I think it could give us a huge advantage.

Like Tom said we beat then twice in the league and the trophy game we rotated the team quite heavily I think.

I've come around to only 1 change from the weekend that being AMS in for Freemantle. I think having that option of Sterling off the bench could be a benefit for us.

Just looked back at the highlights and comments from the Boston home game - general agreement was how well Montrose did against them.
Also, had forgotten that this was the game when Baj tried a different position: in the north stand!

Meanwhile back at the next hurdle - good luck tomorrow night lads. This will be tough. Hope the fans are noisy but patient. We need to get behind the team from the kick-off and not get loud only after we score - a recent trend I have noted.

Let's hope we really have to worry about getting to Fylde and buying a ticket.
