Best wishes to their keeper. Believed to have broken his ankle.

Wasn't fouled, just landed badly.

It was dark when we left Kettering. Sun must come up early there.

The disallowed goal. Their camp not particularly happy

Didn't see Maradona on the team sheet?

Awful game,Awful pitch,Massive 3 points

Selection was spot on,obviously missed Austin’s energy & someone running between the lines.
Thought Montrose was great considering how little game time he’s had this season.

Reassuring that Lady Luck is a Harrier - hope she stays till the end of the season.

The Kettering supporters will be gutted to get nothing from the game, but we all know from experience how that feels. Not faulting the effort and commitment from our lads, but we had no outlet and a hard-working side kept pinging it back at us.

In his excellent post-match interview Russ calls this the biggest win of the season - exactly that!

MOTM - Burton Latimer.

The Kettering newspaper print this photo and then say that the referee got it wrong and there was no handball. Erm?

Just relieved that there is no hint that our leading scorer was unavailable for the same reason as Kettering's.

Best wishes to their keeper.

Give four key players were missing, the amount of games played recently and the condition of the pitch, its a brilliant 3 points. Sounds like we got the tactics spot on. Sort of game we would drop points 'playing the right way' on surfaces like that.
Its results like this that get you over the line end of the season.
Good to hear 3 or 4 will be back for Saturday. Shame on Martin, hopefully he isnt out too long. Been really impressed with him. Having Redmond signed and Montrose back certainly softens the blow.

I'm glad to hear that Montrose had a good game as I've not been his biggest fan - he will be important to the squad.

Remember him coming on as a sub at Chorley and immediately making his presence felt, that seemed like a turning point. The big fella has been brilliant ever since.

Without doubt the toughest game of the season - in terms of possession it felt like 65% Kettering to our 35%. Kettering never relaxed the pressure on us for even a moment but we stood up to a very severe test. Their stand in keeper was barely tested and if I had a pound for every header in the game I could enjoy a fine two week holiday.

We are now half way through the league season with more very cold Tuesday nights to come. 6 months to get 21 games played and less than 4 months for the remaining 21. Does seem somewhat unbalanced - thankfully all clubs are in the same position.
