A message to KHIST members from our local Foodbank

This message has been received from the Foodbank in response to generous cash donations by KHIST members.

"A big thank you to the supporters of KHIST for their very generous cheques of £180 towards the Kidderminster Foodbank. We have been able to buy sufficient food to meet our needs here, so at the moment, we are able to do 40 collections a week. We have not been able to do face to face since the lock-down, but we are hoping to open up properly again when we will be able to reach many more. Many thanks again." Maureen.

We are very proud to have organised several KHIST Foodbank collections in recent years but have been prevented by Covid-19 restrictions from arranging an event during 2020/2021. We have encouraged members to respond directly to the foodbank’s own appeal but, decided that we would provide a facility for members to make cash donations via the KHIST Online Shop.

As with all charities the Kidderminster Foodbank continues to experience challenging times, and any help that we can provide will be more than welcome. We have agreed therefore that the cash donations facility will remain available to the Local Community – KHIST members and others – to support this most deserving Charity. Please be generous.
