We need to stay up just to keep him on (or at least stand a chance of it). I can't imagine life without him.
Agree. If we were to be relegated to the South he may give it a go given he lives Oxfordshire/Cotswolds but that isnt going to happen.
Other things I took aside from 'game of football', 'if truth be known' and 'to some extent' was:
We are lacking in the CM dept hence Weston coming in - clearly doesnt rate Ox or Lissimore to even challenge Griffiths or Brown
JET and Preston much in his plans
The behind closed doors friendly was a success as won and returning/players needing fitness gained a lot of minutes.
Subs made a massive difference last week - wont be surprised if they start for who they came on for, 2 ineffective the other just not fit or has the legs for the high press
Saturday is bascially a must win against suspected tired opposition who could end up getting dragged into it.
Target was 51? probably looking at more to stay up now, four wins will do it, ten might.

Can't help but feel that today is the decider. A loss and confidence and energy will be zapped, a win and the belief is back. Interesting to see how PB approaches this one

Agree. For the last few weeks we've been saying how each Saturday is a must-win game. But it feels like today really is last-chance saloon.
I feel positive about today though. And in PB we trust!

A pleasure Phil!
A shameless plug to you all, for the 'donation' button which can be found towards the bottom of the forum page. As a regular visitor, I gave a couple of quid, because I appreciate the hard work that goes into its running all year round.
Phil's far too modest to advertise this feature, and so I'm shamelessly advertising it without any prompt from anyone.
@Phil - please don't strike me off this forum for such a clumsy and direct plug! :)
Anyway, enough of my self-righteousness...back to the Wealdstone thread!

Nearly every other game is going for us, but we can't pose a proper threat ourselves.

Need 3 points.

We’re lucky to be level. CAnt keep the ball getting over run. Absolutely {expletive deleted} all up top. Think we got off with that offside, no one apart from mcnally appealed it.
