It's a wonder that Amari didn't offer Nugent his shirt at the final whistle, he was in it for most of the game. Gloucester played a destructive game and combined with a poor ref got the result they came for. Onwards to Tuesday and we're up to 3rd.

And then...

Reports of the last few games have regularly mentioned hoofing it forward, which is where a lot of our problems stemmed from last season. Why have we suddenly started doing this again? We just don't have the personnel up front suited to lumping it forward.

Is that our first 0-0 draw at home in the league since the start of the 2106/7 season when we were first in NLN? I think we drew with Chorley 0-0 very early on. Struggling to think of another one since then until today.
0-0 at home to Stafford Rangers in the FA Cup Sept 2019

0-0 at home to Telford August 2018 in the league
I remembered the cup one but clearly the 0-0 thriller vs Telford has been erased from my memory!

This must have been the lengthy injury treatment at the end. What happened?

It was interesting to note that there was a larger group of proactive stewards in evidence today, especially at the end, in preparation for next week I presume. It was a pity that wasn't the case three weeks ago!

What was this all about? Wouldn't let fans in?

By the way, I hope the club look into the disgraceful way our fans have been treated this week.

Hereford not opening the away end up because they “didn’t have a safety certificate” until 45 minutes before kick off, then Kidderminster stewards closing the turnstiles bang on 3 and not letting a dozen or so of our fans in after because “they’re too late.”

Tough game,I think this run of games between the Reading match & West Ham match is probably catching up mentally as well as physically with the squad with hardly any recovery time between games & not much time to work on stuff in training.
Thought we looked tired & lacked a spark.
4 points from 2 games this week isn’t the end of the world & we’re still well placed in the division.

Nice to see amari got his own back on them elbowing him, kicking him and fouling him the whole game.

After today I definitely think the 'one down' scenario is affecting the way lower placed teams are approaching games. With little to play for the bottom 8 are now opening up and playing for individual contracts rather than league status. The only clubs with anything to play for are the top 8 who continue to stretch further away from those who have already written the season off. The dynamic for NLN is unique to say the least.

Well I’ve seen us play worse and win. I think Gloucester played well and were worthy of their point. We lacked a cutting edge today in a game bereft of goal scoring opportunities.
Not enough creativity today in a side running out of energy.
But no criticism of their desire. They gave it everything.
Need another midfielder in my opinion. Preston and Austin stood our but in truth, Simpson saved us a point.
Shame as Gateshead dropped 2 as well today.
Onwards and upwards

In midfield, Carrington, Montrose and Redmond are too similar in their style of play and we are missing the creative talents of Martin, or previously Bonds. Yes, collectively, they looked a bit jaded, but there was no shirking by Morgan-Smith who put in another good shift despite being clattered throughout by Nugent with no protection from the ref.

I think Neil from Gloucester misses the point. The ref probably did give 40 free kicks to Kiddy, but that is because Gloucester were perpetually committing fouls and he should have given 70. Gloucester were a horrible team and the ref should have waved a couple of yellows early on to try to get control. I am not sure how he allowed 4 of the 5 minutes of added time to be taken up by the injury to the Gloucester number 3, with everyone just watching him kneeling on the floor (albeit seemingly with a broken nose)

A pretty fair assessment - we lacked the spark that our second half performance away at Gloucester delivered. We need to re-ignite our earlier form if at all possible for Leamington on Tuesday and I would think the adrenalin will carry us through to a better performance against West Ham.

Yet he's in the team of the day. Must be ok to play that way then.
