I've put all the more interesting old threads in here so they can still be seen following the board overhaul in October 2008. It'll be read only.

I find it odd that Russ don’t fancy him yet plays Pierce, clearly he prefers Margetson and mcnally over him.

Another puzzling one. He always looked decent to me. But with NKP on the way back we’re not exactly short of central defenders. Who’s next to be shipped out? Rogers?

Something weird has gone on here. We bring in McNally and play him over Leak (and Margetson).
Leak did well when he came in but has found chances few and far between.

If i remember correctly, Walsall supporters also thought highly of him, is it attitude? Doesn`t make sense atm.

Looked good whenever he played. Reminds me a bit of Tom Sharpe, who similarly never really got a proper look in. Hope he's back. Can't see it being attitude with him.

Could this mean we've seen the last of Tom Leak? If so I think that'll be something that comes back to haunt us.

McNally has done well, him and NKP together would be decent.
It's clear Penn doesnt fancy Leak otherwise he would have kept him and played him, rather than signing McNally.
Keeping him for the season also puts to bed rumours of a Matt Preston return this season, which is a shame as our form dipped as soon as he got injured. Massive presence and an excellent defender.

I'm a fan of Tom Leak, he has both an aerial presence and is quick and it's a shame if he has no place in the future plans. I'm okay with the McNally loan extension having seen his recent performances.
The issue I am concerned with is our attacking options (no apologies for being boring). The last time we scored more than 2 was Sept. 24th at Kettering. The problem is obvious.........
We'll now go and score 4 at Leamington!!

Such an odd move, both Leak going out and McNally coming in - not seen anything remarkable from the latter. Nevermind, in Russ we (have to) trust.
