Curzon Ashton midfielder and captain Robbie Evans has committed his future to the club.

Evans became a mainstay in the side during his first season on Tameside, and will remain with the Nash for a further year, having signed on following Steve Cunningham’s appointment as manager.

Cunningham was delighted to secure the services of the 25-year-old former Wrexham man.

He said: “I’m delighted to have retained Robbie for the new season. He’s already shown in training the attributes that have made him a fan favourite, and a favourite within the dressing room.”

Alfreton Town have signed defender Toby Lees.

The centre-back becomes the club’s fifth new signing of the summer and eighth member of the squad.

Lees came through the ranks at Harrogate Town before joining Gateshead on an initial season-long loan at the start of the 2019/20 campaign.

After making 22 appearances and scoring twice, the Heed signed Lees on a short-team deal until the end of the season.

Alfreton boss Billy Heath said: “Toby came through the youth ranks at Harrogate and then made the loan move to Gateshead at the start of the 2019/20 season. He played 22 times for Gateshead last season, he’s a good age at 23, and he is another lad who is looking to progress himself.”

Chester have confirmed the departure of Scott Burton and Gary Stopforth.

The midfield duo have made several hundred appearances for management duo Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley during their playing days.

Both encountered injury frustration during their two years with Chester, but Burton made 41 appearances and Stopforth 53.

They depart after a 2019/20 that saw the Blues reach the National League North play-offs.

Spennymoor Town have announced the signing of Adriano Moke.

The 30-year-old midfielder joins Moors after a spell at York City. Moke was confirmed as leaving the club last month.

Jason Ainsley’s seventh signing of the summer, Moke told Spennymoor’s website:

“I am glad to be on board and I can’t wait to get started here. I want to wear the shirt and give it my all when the season gets started.

“Jason has been interested in bringing me here for a while now so it was a nice feeling to be wanted.”

Jack Lane is the latest member of Paul Holleran’s Leamington squad to agree terms for the 2020/2021 season.

Having broken into Brakes’ established back four after joining from National League North rivals Alfreton Town in September 2018, Lane fully cemented his place in central defence last season, making 42 appearances and scoring two goals, one of which was a late winner in an FA Cup replay at Chasetown.

Holleran said: “We’re delighted to have Jack back on board with us to start what will be his third season at Leamington.”
South Shields have announced the signing of forward Alex Kempster.

The 24-year-old arrives after a two-and-a-half-year spell at York City, where he scored ten goals in 34 league appearances last season.

He told Shields’ website: “I’m buzzing to be a South Shields player.

“I’m excited to have a new venture and hopefully I’ll be able to help the club get where they want to be.”

Wouldn't have minded Whittle at the harriers to fill the left-back berth.

Interesting move.

Southport defender Ryan Astles is joining The New Saints.

Astles has previously plied his trade in the Cymru Premier with Buckley Town and Rhyl.

He signed for Southport in May 2018 after spells at Northwich Victoria and Chester.

Astles told his new club’s website: “I’m happy to sign for TNS and can’t wait to get started.

“I’m looking forward to a new challenge, and hopefully, helping the team to achieve big things.“

It’s looking like Chambers has gone there. Is that Ndlovu off then?
