Looking at the huge turnover of players in the last decade (another side effect of the Bosman ruling ) its inevitable we all prefer to highlight the few who have gone on to better and higher things.
The huge numbers of players who leave and simply disappear into the wasteland of lower league mediocity far outweighs the former.
Footballs a very tough industry, and its quite sad to see young optimistic teenagers get thrown out after a few appearances.

Nick Clayton-Phillips has just had his loan to Solihull ended and he's gone back to WBA. Niggling injuries mean that he's getting no game time.
In one way, he's just the type of player that we need now.
In another, he's just what we don't want - another squad player that we can't get on the pitch.
It's just coming up to two years (19.01.2019) since the 1 - 0 away win at Telford when NCP scored the winning / only goal. Out of interest, there's only one player from that starting eleven who could play today and that's Sam Austin (Russ Penn also played on that day). Quite a churn of players in just two years.

Gloucesters Alex Whittle is rumoured to be leaving for Chesterfield and is after his release to get around the no poaching clause that took Rowe from City to Chesterfield.

Tim Flowers, now at Barnet, is apparently in for Liam Daly as well

Centre half Tom Harrison joins Gloucester after a short spell at Chippenham. Potentially lends credence to the Daly rumour

Excellent prospect, wish we could have nabbed him.
