Prediction league people go - 16 for a Harriers away win - 11 for a draw - 2 for a Bradford PA win - mostly predicted before any of our August matches
Referee: John Mulligan from Carlisle
- does this mean we got a mulligan if we lose? (golf slang i believe!)

"We have more than enough firepower."

No talk of additions. "The big man is back next week." Not clear if that is back in training or ready for selection.

I think when you have more than enough firepower you start every game of the season with at least one recognised striker.

Will he be fit enough to play two games in quick succession?

Russ looks a bit stressed in this.
AMS has been getting up to speed in preseason training for the last fortnight

Big calls to make statements like that. All well and good if we win by a goal, that'll keep people quiet, but if we don't score again and draw 0-0 or lose, then I think he's making a rod for his own back. We don't know the background, perhaps Lane has told him no more money available, but if you say 'we have more than enough firepower', we need to see the results of it.
The best team we ever had- since i've been watching the Harriers (2002-)
-------------------Brock-----------
-------Hinton---Smith-----Stamps
-----Melligan--Bennett-Williams---Flynn-Parrish
-----------Henriksen-Broughton------

Maybe that Richard Lane will have to bail Worcester Rugby Club out.

Russ really taking on the Midlands Guardiola moniker as deemed by West Ham Clips, it seems. :D

Can certainly understand not bringing anyone else in from a numbers perspective, they've got plenty of players. However I am a little puzzled as far as the acquisitions of Margetson and Rodgers over another centre forward.

Margetson I guess I can understand, as a handy utility man. Though you don't see him getting into the backline too much with Penny and Foakes at right back, Pearce, NKP, Leak and Penny at centre back. Rodgers though, they've got Hemmings, Cessay, Tolley, you could easily play Owen-Evans or Brown from the left, Freemantle from the right if need be to get him some extra minutes, with his pace.

Strange.

I would agree with RP in that we do have enough fire power to win games. Looking back to the game against Leamington we missed a host of chances - penalty - hitting the post twice in that game + some top class saves from the Leamington keeper who got my MOTM award. A win there would have seen us on 6 points before coming up against Curzon who had lost their first 2 games so really needed something against us. Sadly we lacked penetration and incision against a very well organised defence that prevented us getting in behind them far too many times.

Supporters and Managers would always want more quality players no matter how well they are playing - they always seem to say they are 3 players short of what they would like but it rarely happens except at the very top clubs.

We have improved our squad over last year - we have not started quite as well but I believe come the end of the season we will have done better overall in the league than last season. 3 games in folks - keep the faith.

Match day and I'm looking for a reaction from the players after Tuesday night's disappointing result. Who does Russ drop to bring back EF ? I would also like to see a slight change in our midfield with Lowe playing further forward and not in Byrne's pocket like he did for most of the game against Curzon. I've gone for a 2-0 win for Harriers, still believe .

Brackley had a player sent off. Murombedzi. He'll miss our game on Bank Holiday Monday.
