There's an 11 there to match last season's usual formation.

Palmer
Penny Leak Pearce Richards
Lowe Martin
Hemmings Owen-Evens Ceesay
Morgan-Smith

Beyond that some squad players with potential but no real dependable cover or competition for places.

HOWEVER, it's still June - I feel we're much more secure than we have been in many a season. But that depends on more additions to follow...

IMO we could do with one more player in most departments (full-back, centre-back, centre-mid, winger, striker.) Would be happy to take a punt on Tom Palmer and rely on getting in an emergency loan GK if needed to save cash for elsewhere.
i agree with you , hopefully we will pick up some "gems" following the trials + loans.

I am looking forward to the season and it is good to see that we have done some good buisiness if only on paper at the moment

Will be interesting to see how long it takes for the new squad to form as a team with so many changes.
To my reckoning 11 of the players that entered the field of play v West Ham have now departed.
A big job for the management team to get up and running quickly in my opinion.
Patience may be the order of the day.

If we are going to win the league then we can't afford to wait ten games for the side to gel.

Usually we only win the league [or come second] after making a hash of the first 10 games

Better make sure Fylde, Boston, Darlo, Chorley and Brackley get that memo then.

Gateshead got 20 points from 30 in their first ten games last season.

Brackley are currently in a worse position than us. Got 5 players signed up lost the majority of their team

Omari Sterling James joins Ebbsfleet in National League South. Easier way to having a promotion on his CV?

What went wrong for him to join them?

Sideways move at best although he might have more change of promotion in that league.

Probably more money? And if he doesn't want to play for us then off he goes. Im not too downhearted.

Perhaps he thought he'd get an offer from higher up the pyramid?

Must say I'm surprised a mid or lower table team in the league above didn't take him. Interesting move. Were goin well Ebbsfleet until they ran into financial trouble.

I don't understand the ambivalence towards OSJ. I thought he was a very good player for us and is a significant loss to the team / squad.

He's has a great deal of quality. I can see the argument that he was a bit up and down, but I think that's over-egged.

While we might have expected Baj to go, the 4 recent departures have put a hole in my confidence for next season. Had we retained them (minus Baj maybe), then - with our new siginings - I would have been more optimistic at having a crack at the league. As its stands a run at the playoffs is all we can hope for again.

I agree. I think we'll miss him a lot, and Baj. Too early to say if the replacements are up to it of course. But the bar is set quite high IMO.

OSJ was lazy off the ball. On it very good but there’s two sides to a game. If we were to loose any of the front three to improve that area it would have been him.

Hit the nail squarely on the head. Last season he was being frequently being 'mothered' by AMS during games. Certainly his goals were memorable and cannot be underestimated but his quality as a team player was often questionable. Perhaps that's why he's gone to similar level club in Ebbsfleet and Sam and Baj have ended up going to a big club in the league above.
The replacements, so far, have been excellent IMO, so I'm confident that RP will find other gems, has he did last season. I think the future looks bright.
