Long shot but…

Does anybody know when:

a) we were last on TV for a game (I recall a Grimsby one in 2013ish)

b) if we have ever had a live game on BBC

We were on the red button/iPlayer the other year away at Deeping Rangers in the cup, if that counts?

We’ve never had a Live game on terrestrial TV.

Had a few National League games on BT Sport & Setanta back in the day I think & the Deeping game was on something.

We had Blackpool at home on Sky Sports on a Friday night in 2000.

Considering the club have had nearly two weeks to consider a ticketing plan for the biggest home game in years, they have simply rolled out the same process for the previous lower key fixtures.

The half season ticket idea as proposed on here was a good one.

Not all fans would have had those kind of funds to call upon but, I’m sure we could have tempted 200-300 with this.

Personally I think a ‘ flexi season ticket ‘ initiative would have trumped that number and been a real success, I think we may have had up to 500 go for this.

‘ Guarantee your Hammers ticket by purchasing 6 home league tickets to help Russ & the boys in the promotion push ‘

The reward being they’re second in line for West Ham tickets after existing ST holders for Hammers tickets.

I think the realisation of the opportunity missed will only dawn on our owner along with the ticketing, commercial & marketing departments week commencing Monday 7 February.
I agree that we have missed a fairly simple trick here with a Flexi-season ticket'. The only possible reason against it, I can think of, is that the booking system couldn't easily deal with it. But surely there are always ways round these things?

A concern would be Phase 3. If that is to be General Sale, what is there to stop West Ham fans buying those tickets?

Yes, that's correct. The BBC broadcast a live match from each round from early in the qualifying rounds. It was just one camera that tracked from left to right. It started to piddle with rain and a hand kept coming across to wipe the raindrops off the lens.

Apologies for the desperation, but any ST holders or Halifax ticket holders who can't do this game and fancy helping someone get a ticket who couldn't do the Halifax game please get in touch. There'll be beers for life in it!

Will the beeb have a 'studio' set up anywhere or do we think this will be pitchside?

I believe it’s Lineker presenting, not sure about the setup though. I’d imagine they’d be in some sort of studio. Be interesting to know where that would go.

My guess they would use the executive box on the left hand side as it is separate to the main room
