The Harriers were foiled in their attempt to catch up with AFC Fylde on Tuesday evening when the game at Stalybridge was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.  The mid day inspection found that overnight rain in Manchester wasn't draining away as hoped so there was no alternative but stay at home knowing we would have to wait a little longer to play one of our games in hand over the two leading sides.

Now we're going to wait until March but meanwhile we have a return game of one of our best wins in the league to look forward to.  The game at Curzon on the opening day of the season saw the Reds cruise to a 6-1 win, a win that was only bettered by our 6-0 league victory at home to Tamworth just over a month later.  I can't see a repeat of that scoreline tomorrow but we live in hope.

Curzon now sit in mid-table and their defence has improved since then and they tick along nicely with a couple of wins followed by a couple of draws and losses.  One of their best wins of the season came at play-off hopefuls Darlington a few weeks ago when they beat them 3-1 to put a dent in Darlos plans.  Let's just hope they don't intend to repeat that at Aggborough.

With the extra few days that we had due to the postponement we could well see a return to the side for Zaine Francis-Angol and Ryan Croasdale following their injuries that meant they both missed out on the trip to Barrow where we exited the FA Trophy.  There was a minor injury to Jordan Tunnicliffe at that game but he will have hopefully recovered from that by now.  Sam Hornby remains sidelined through injury so Alex Palmer will continue between the sticks.

Curzon have no known injuries mainly due to them not talking about that kind of thing.  They have lost a couple of players recently with the main loss being Adam Morgan who left them for Halifax after scoring a hat trick in their FA Cup thriller against Wimbledon when they threw away a three goal lead to gift the game to the Dons in the final ten minutes with the visitors running out 4-3 winners.

I think tomorrow will see us keeping up the pressure on the leaders but not with the kind of scoreline that we'll be hoping for.  One things for sure and that is we'll be seeing another great Harriers.
