Steve Pope first came to the Harriers on loan from Crewe Alexandra in 1997. He quickly became a crowd favourite and signed a contract for us in August 1998. At the start of the 1998-99 season he received a bad leg injury and did not play again that season. He returned after Jan Molby took over but struggled to regain his place from Craig Hinton. In 2001 Steve left the club and joined Bromsgrove Rovers. He then went on to play for Solihull Borough, AFC Telford Utd, Kidsgrove Athletic and Colwyn Bay where he went on to become their manager for a short while. | |||
