Mickey Demetriou was sponsored by Harriers Online from 2012 to 2014

Utility man Mickey Demetriou joined the Harriers from Eastbourne Borough in June 2011.

He was part of the Glenn Hoddle football academy and has played for Worthing and Bognor Regis in addition to Boro and also in Spain with Jerez Industrial FC. He also had unsuccessful trials with Fulham and Leicester City.

During his three years with the Harriers he quickly settled into the left back position with the occasional foray into the centre half rôle when asked. He was also the sponsored player of this website for all that time too along with being a regular in the England C team.

He joined Shrewsbury Town in June 2014 and, again, quickly became a favourite with their fans before falling out with the then manager Micky Mellon who sent him on loan to Cambridge Utd where again he was well respected.

On his return to Shrewsbury he played one more game but was badly injured. He was eventually released and spent a while out of the game with the injury. Once recovered he joined Newport County in January 2017.
