James Fry joined the Harriers on a youth loan from Birmingham City until the end of the 2014-15 season along with fellow team mate Nathaniel Kelly. The young defender had already spent two spells on loan at Leamington but his first time there was shortened due to a bad ankle ligament injury that kept him out of the game for five months. Once recovered he returned to the Brakes for the second time. He scored twice in a 4-0 win against Oxford City after being asked to play in a forward midfield role.
