Freddie Ladapo (Olayinka Fredrick Oladotun Ladapo is his full name) signed for the Harriers the day before our big FA Cup game at Sunderland in January 2014 from Colchester Utd. He came here on a short term deal until the end of the season.

Freddie only made six substitute appearances for his former club but had been sent out on loan to other clubs during his three year long time with them. Although being born in Essex he has a Nigerian nationality through his parents.

After just a handful of games for us in which he didn’t impress, and a new manager, he was sent out on loan to Hayes & Yeading. The following season he was sent out on loan again to Grays Athletic and left the club in January 2015 to join Margate.

It was while with Margate that he began to catch the eye of clubs higher up the pecking order and finally joined up with Premiership side Crystal Palace on a two and a half year deal in March 2016. While with them he spent time out on loan at Oldham and Shrewsbury.

On transfer deadline day 2018 he signed for Southend Utd for an undisclosed transfer fee after making just two appearances for Palace.
