The legendary Delwyn Humphreys was an England Semi-Pro international who was most famous for his time with us in the Conference when he celebrated his many goals with his trademark back flip somersault.

Starting his career at Newtown he then moved on to Bridgnorth before joining the Harriers for £10,000 in November 1990. He played in both our Trophy finals in 1991 and 1995 as well as our famous FA Cup run of 1994 when he scored against Preston North End in the 1 – 0 win at Aggborough.

In total he scored 33 goals for us in 136 games for us before injuring his knee so badly that he was almost forced to retire from the game. Knowing that he could never perform as he would have liked for us again he joined Northwich Victoria in May 1995, again for a fee of £10,000.

Following them he played for Stafford Rangers and finally Bromsgrove Rovers before being forced to give up the playing side of the game.

He later went into management at Ellesmere and Market Drayton but was never successful.
