The warrior returns

Lee Vaughan returned to the Harriers today to become the second of our defensive signings so far. A few minutes later a third was added with the arrival of Liam Daly from Solihull Moors.

Lee was last with us for four seasons from 2010 up to 2014 when he left to join Cheltenham. From there he made a move to Tranmere Rovers and became a very popular member of the side but that all came to an end when he broke his leg against Southport in April this year.

He’ll be well remembered here for the confrontation with Stockport fans in his final season when, because we had just relegated them, they invaded the pitch and one idiot took a swing at Lee.

He has signed a two year contract with us but probably won’t make his second debut for quite a while.

Liam Daly is a tall centre half who started out with Birmingham City but joined Redditch on his release. In 2008 he joined Solihull for the first time but then left for Halesowen and then to Leamington where he made 200 appearances for the Brakes.

He returned to Damson Lane in 2014 and appeared over 130 times for them before joining us today.
