04-02-18 - Preview - Curzon Ashton Vs Harriers

This might well be a waste of time writing due to the forecast of bad weather up North that could see yet another postponement of this game.

On Saturday Curzons game at home to Gainsborough Trinity was the victim of excessive rain (it is Manchester after all) and was called off because of a waterlogged pitch. We could now be facing a pitch inspection before our game there tonight but at the moment we don’t know if or when that inspection will be.

With Curzon going through a bad run at the moment, and having only won one game in the last ten, they needed that Trinity game to get themselves back into a winning frame of mind before the game with us.

In the past few days they have bought in three new players: midfielder Jake Dunwoody on loan from Stoke City, midfielder Ben McKenna from Stockport County and a winger Aaron Dwyer from Stockport Town, not County.

In there last game played, at FC Utd of Manchester Joe Guest was given a straight red card and he will now miss the game against us. They lost that game too.

We should only have the two doubts again with Liam Truslove and Dan Bradley both missing injured. They both missed our 3-0 home win against Southport at the end of last month and it’s very unlikely they’ll be fit again just yet. No doubt we’ll have had some more injuries in training since then so there could be other late injury announcements. If only we had a squad the size of Curzons!
